Dulu Boleh.. Sekarang?

Pejam celik, pejam celik, tinggal hanya beberapa hari sahaja untuk kita melangkah ke bulan April 2012. Cepat betul masa berlalu. Kadang-kadang hampir terlupa umur pun dah 32 tahun!! Hehe.. rasa macam baru je lagi berkonvoi naik motosikal ke sekolah untuk ambil keputusan SPM.

Bila cerita pasal SPM, baru-baru ni keputusan SPM 2011 dah dikeluarkan. Alhamdulillah ramai yang dapat keputusan cemerlang. Tahniah adik-adik sekelian!!

Imbas kembali kisah tahun 1998, ketika mengambil keputusan SPM. Dah la kelas kategori last, tempat pun betul-betul hujung bangunan pulak tu!!

Dipendekkan cerita, semasa PMR (1995) pun keputusan tak berapa bagus. Bila nak masuk tingkatan 4 satu hal pula lagi, tak tahu nak masuk kelas apa. Nak masuk kelas Sains tak layak, kelas Ekonomi kena belajar Bahasa Arab Komunikasi pulak, takkan nak masuk kelas Sastera kot!! Tapi masalahnya susah pulak nak faham Prinsip Akaun nih, kena belajar Add Math sekali pulak tu. Aduhh.. macam mana ni.

Masa tu keputusan exam penggal so-so je. Paling best sekali masa awal tingkatan 5, siap dapat SAP lah!! Nahh.. penangan baik punya.

Then masa SPM 1997 saya cuba yang terbaik.

Jangan sampai satu hari nanti apabila kita dah tua baru tersedar - kenapalah aku tak berusaha dulu? Sesal dahulu pendapatan, sesal kemudian tak berguna. Tu untung kalau tua, kalau tak sempat tua? So, manfaatkan lah masa yang ada kerana masa takkan berulang kembali..

p/s: memori SMKASL memang takkan dilupakan selamanya

Make Your Team More Creative!

In today’s challenging economic times, creative thinking is more valuable than ever. Not creative for creativity’s sake - creativity to solve real business problems. Many of the ideas of the past are no longer relevant. As a seasoned leader shared with me recently, “The half-life of ideas is decreasing rapidly.”

So what’s our response? We need more and better ideas. The good news: creating new, value-added ideas is what teams do best. However, creativity in a team environment is not automatic. There are some things that leaders can do to increase the creative output of their team. Here are a few ideas to get you started . . .

Expect it
When you establish the role of your team, be sure to highlight the expectation that the team will create fresh, new solutions to the problems you face.

Train it
The skills of creativity can be learned. To learn them, they must be taught. Schedule time to conduct training for your team. This can take many forms. It can be as brief as a micro session on effective brainstorming (before your next brainstorming session) to multi-day training sessions and everything in between. The point is simple - train your team on the skills of creativity.

Practice it
Creative thinking and problem solving are skills - just like golf, tennis or a foreign language. Like any skill, you get better with practice. Look for opportunities for your team to practice the skills you’ve learned. Practice builds competence and competence builds confidence.

Recognize it
The actions that you reward will be repeated. That’s human nature. That’s one reason you need to recognize not just the successes but the effort as well. Not every creative endeavor will be successful. That’s normal. If you’ve been operating in a culture in which creativity has not been valued, recognizing creative effort will be even more critical. People are paying attention. They want to know if it’s really safe to voice new ideas.

Model it
People always watch the leader - whether we want them to or not. Do your people see you embracing creative ideas? Do they see you engaged in the process of creating new ideas? You can accelerate the adoption of creative thinking as a skill if you personally get in the game. If you don’t, you’ll need to temper your expectations of groundbreaking new ideas from your team.

Teams are probably at their best when they’re engaged in the creative process. They are leveraging their collective wisdom and experience to create what previously did not exist. One of the most satisfying and productive things leaders can do is create the conditions to harness this creative potential. Start today and get ready to be amazed at what your team will do!

Charity Day 19/02/2012

Syukur alhamdulillah..

Antara yang dapat dikongsi oleh Ustaz Hafiszi adalah ;

Bagi yang berminat untuk membuat sumbangan jariah, boleh hubungi Saudara Roslan (016-2446567) atau salurkan terus sumbangan anda ke akaun ;

10 Things That Smart People Forget

Some of the smartest people continuously struggle to get ahead because they forget to address a few simple truths that collectively govern our potential to make progress.  So here’s a quick reminder:

#1 – Education and intelligence accomplish nothing without action.

It doesn’t matter if you have a genius IQ and a PhD in Quantum Physics, you can’t change anything or make any sort of real-world progress without taking action.  There’s a huge difference between knowing how to do something and actually doing it.  Knowledge and intelligence are both useless without ACTION.  It’s as simple as that.

#2 – Happiness and success are two different things.

I know an extremely savvy businesswoman who made almost a million dollars online last year. Every entrepreneur I know considers her to be wildly successful.  But guess what?  A few days ago, out of the blue, she told me that she’s depressed.  Why?  “I’m burnt out and lonely.  I just haven’t taken enough time for myself lately,” she said.  “Wow!” I thought.  “One of the most successful people I know isn’t happy.”

I also know a surfer who surfs almost all day, every day on the beach in front of our condo complex in San Diego.  He’s one of the most lighthearted, optimistic guys I’ve ever met – always smiling from ear to ear.  But he sleeps in a van he co-owns with another surfer and they both frequently panhandle tourists for money.  So while I can’t deny that this man seems happy, I wouldn’t classify his life as a success story.

“What will make me happy?” and “What will make me successful?” are two of the most important questions you can ask yourself.  But they are two different questions.

#3 – Everyone runs their own business.

No matter how you make a living or who you think you work for, you only work for one person, YOURSELF.  The big question is:  What are you selling, and to whom?  Even when you have a full-time, salaried, ‘Corporate America’ position, you are still running your own business.  You are selling one unit of your existence (an hour of your life) at a set price (the associated fraction of your salary) to a customer (your employer).

So how can you simultaneously save your time and increase your profit?  The answer is slightly different for everyone.  But it’s an answer you should be seeking.

#4 – Having too many choices interferes with decision making.

Here in the 21st century where information moves at the speed of light and opportunities for innovation seem endless, we have an abundant array of choices when it comes to designing our lives and careers.  But sadly, an abundance of choice often leads to indecision, confusion and inaction.

Several business and marketing studies have shown that the more product choices a consumer is faced with, the less products they typically buy.  After all, narrowing down the best product from a pool of three choices is certainly a lot easier than narrowing down the best product from a pool of three hundred choices.  If the purchasing decision is tough to make, most people will just give up.

So if you’re selling a product line, keep it simple.  And if you’re trying to make a decision about something in your life, don’t waste all your time evaluating every last detail of every possible option.  CHOOSE something that you think will work and give it a SHOT!  If it doesn’t work out, choose something else and keep pressing forward.

#5 – All people possess dimensions of success and dimensions of failure.

This point is somewhat related to point #2 on happiness and success, but it stands strong on its own as well…

Trying to be perfect is a waste of time and energy.  Perfection is an illusion. All people, even our idols, are multidimensional.  Powerful business men, polished musicians, bestselling authors, and even our own parents all have dimensions of success and dimensions of failure present in their lives.
Our successful dimensions usually encompass the things we spend the most time doing.  We are successful in these dimensions because of our prolonged commitment to them.  This is the part of our lives we want others to see – the successful part that holds our life’s work.  It’s the notion of putting our best foot forward.  It’s the public persona we envision as our personal legacy:  “The Successful ABC” or “The Award Winning XYZ.”

But behind whichever polished storyline we publically promote, there lies a multi-dimensional human being with a long list of unprofessed failures.  Sometimes this person is a bad husband or wife.  Sometimes this person laughs at the expense of others.  And sometimes this person merely takes their eyes off the road and rear-ends the car in front of them.

#6 – Every mistake you make is progress.

Mistakes teach you important lessons.  Every time you make one, you’re one step closer to your goal.  The only mistake that can truly hurt you is choosing TO DO NOTHING simply because you’re TOO SCARED to make a mistake.

So don’t hesitate – don’t doubt yourself.  In life, it’s rarely about getting a chance; it’s about taking a chance.  You’ll never be 100% sure it will work, but you can always be 100% sure doing nothing won’t work.  Most of the time you just have to go for it!

And no matter how it turns out, it always ends up just the way it should be.  Either you succeed or you learn something.  Win-Win.  Remember, if you NEVER act, you will never know for sure, and you will be left standing in the same spot FOREVER.

#7 – People can be great at doing things they don’t like to do.

Although I’m not suggesting that you choose a career or trade you dislike, I’ve heard way too many smart people say something like, “In order to be great at what you do, you have to like what you do.”  This just isn’t true.

A good friend of mine is a public accountant.  He has told me on numerous occasions that he dislikes his job – “that it bores him to death.”  But he frequently gets raises and promotions.  At the age of 28, out of nearly a thousand Jr. Accountants in his division, he’s one of only two who were promoted to be Sr. Accountants this past year.  Why?  Because even though he doesn’t like doing it, he’s good at what he does.

I could come up with dozens of other examples just like this, but I’ll spare you the details.  Just realize that if someone dedicates enough time and attention to perfecting a skill or trade, they can be insanely good at doing something they don’t like to do.

#8 – The problems we have with others are typically more about us.

Quite often, the problems we have with others – our spouse, parents, siblings, etc. – don’t really have much to do with them at all.  Because many of the problems we think we have with them we subconsciously created in our own mind.  Maybe they did something in the past that touched on one of our fears or insecurities.  Or maybe they didn’t do something that we expected them to do.  In either case, problems like these are not about the other person, they’re about us.

And that’s okay.  It simply means these little predicaments will be easier to solve.   We are, after all, in charge of our own decisions.  We get to decide whether we want to keep our head cluttered with events from the past, or instead open our minds to the positive realities unfolding in front of us.

All we need is the willingness to look at things a little differently – letting go of ‘what was’ and ‘what should have been,’ and instead focusing our energy on ‘what is’ and ‘what could be possible.’

#9 – Emotional decisions are rarely good decisions.

Decisions driven by heavy emotion are typically misguided reactions rather than educated judgments.  These reactions are the byproduct of minimal amounts of conscious thought and primarily based on momentary ‘feelings’ instead of mindful awareness.

The best advice here is simple:  Don’t let your EMOTIONS trump your intelligence.  Slow down and think things through before you make any life-changing decisions.

#10 – You will never feel 100% ready when an opportunity arises.

The number one thing I persistently see holding smart people back is their own reluctance to accept an opportunity simply because they don’t think they’re ready.  In other words, they believe they require additional knowledge, skill, experience, etc. before they can aptly partake in the opportunity.  Sadly, this is the kind of thinking that stifles personal growth.

The truth is NOBODY ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises.  Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow emotionally and intellectually.  They force us to stretch ourselves and our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first.  And when we don’t feel comfortable, we don’t feel ready.

Just remember that significant moments of opportunity for personal growth and development will come and go throughout your lifetime.  If you are looking to make positive changes in your life you will need to EMBRACE these moments of opportunity even though you will never feel 100% ready for them!

So, what are you waiting for??

It's My Life!

Woww.. Lama betul tak 'membloggingkan diri'! Hajat di hati nak buat hari-hari, tapi tak berkesempatan. Banyak perkara yang perlu didahulukan, FIRST THING FIRST!!

..TOMORROW'S GETTING HARDER MAKE NO MISTAKE
LUCK AIN'T EVEN LUCKY GOTTA MAKE YOUR OWN BREAKS!!

IT'S MY LIFE.. IT'S NOW OR NEVER!!
I AIN'T GONNA LIVE FOR EVER
I JUST WANNA LIVE WHILE I'M ALIVE
IT'S MY LIFE!!

..BETTER STAND TALL WHEN THEY'RE CALLING YOU OUT
DON'T BEND, DON'T BREAK, DON'T BACK DOWN!!

IT'S MY LIFE.. IT'S NOW OR NEVER!!
I AIN'T GONNA LIVE FOR EVER
I JUST WANNA LIVE WHILE I'M ALIVE
IT'S MY LIFE!!

How To Become A Stronger Person?

Life Is Not Easy
Hard work makes people lucky, it's the stuff that brings dreams to reality. So start every morning ready to run farther than you did yesterday and fight harder harder than you ever have before.

You Will Fail Sometimes
The faster you accept this, the faster you can get on with being brilliant. You'll be never be 100% sure it will work, but you can always 100% sure doing nothing won't work. So get out there and do something! Either you succeed or you learn a vital lesson.

Right Now, There's A Lot You Don't Know
The day you stop learning is the day you stop living. Embrace new information, think about it and use it to advance yourself.

There May Not Be Tomorrow
Not for everyone. Right now, someone on earth is planning for tomorrow without realizing they're going to die today. So spend your time wisely today and pause long enough to appreciate it.

There's A Lot You Can't Control
Wasting your time, talent and emotional energy on things that are beyond your control is a recipe for frustration, misery and stagnation. Invest your energy in the things you can control.

Information Is Not True Knowledge
Knowledge comes from experience. You can discuss a task a hundred times, but these discussions will only give you a philosophical understanding. You must experience a task firsthand to truly know it.

You Can't Success Without Providing Value
Don't waste your time trying to be successful, spend your time creating value. When you're valuable to the world around you, you will be successful.

Someone Else Will Always Have More Than You
Whether it's money, friends or magic beans that you are collecting, there will be always be someone who has more than you. But remember, it's not how many you have, it's how passionate you are about collecting them. It's all about the journey.

You Can't Change The Past
Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. You can't change what happened, but you can change how you react to it.

The Only Person Who Can Make You Happy Is You
The root of your happiness comes from your relationship with yourself. Sure external entities can have fleeting effects on your mood, but in the long run nothing matters more than how you feel about who you are on the inside.

There Will Always Be People Who Don't Like You
You can't be everything to everyone. No matter what you do, there will be always be someone who thinks differently. So concentrate on doing what you know in your heart is right. What others think and say about you isn't all that important. What is important is how you feel about yourself.

You Won't Always Get What You Want
But if you try sometimes you might find you get what you need. Appreciate the things you have right now. Many people aren't lucky.

In Life, You Get What You Put In
If you want love, give love. If you want friends, be friendly. If you want money, provide value. It really is this simple.

Good Friends Will Come & Go
Most of your school friends won't be a part of your college life. Most of your college friends won't be a part of your 20-something professional life. Most of your 20-something friends won't be there your spouse and you bring your 2nd child into the world. But some friends will stick. And it's these friends, the ones who transcend time with you, who matter.

Doing The Same Exact Thing Everyday Hinders Self Growth
If you keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting what you're getting. Growths happens when you change things, when you try new things, when you stretch beyond your comfort zone.

You Will Never Fell 100% Ready For Something New
Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means you won't feel totally comfortable or ready for it.
